SAP AVC - it's all about the engine

This continues my series on the SAP Advanced Variant Configurator. It can be hard to find out the background to why SAP is developing another variant configurator. Through attendance, at the CWG Conferences and a bit of research, there is information out there.

Watch the video to get the high points to why the AVC is being developed. In simple terms, it is in my opinion to take full advantage of the S4HANA platform, the VC engine had to be rebuilt.

Remember that LOVC has been around since the early 1990s and so it has its issues now that need to be addressed. The good thing is that still works and so there is no need to migrate to the AVC, but one day it is likely that you will.
